Poppet (plug) valves
Poppet valves are the result of Burckhardt Compression's own development and represent an optimal solution for most industrial applications. Their design offers several significant advantages:
- high reliability – the failure of one or even several poppets does not require immediate shutdown of the compressor or replacement of the entire valve
- high resistance – wide flow channels allow operation even when compressing contaminated gases
- high efficiency – the valve construction ensures very low pressure losses
- lower operating costs – the valves are designed for easy maintenance using service kits. Repairs can be carried out on-site by the operator without the need for special tools or for the operator to stock complete replacement valves. Switching to poppet valves can reduce repair costs by up to 80%.
Our offering also includes the authorised servicing of all types of compressor valves, including service work with the issuance of a certificate of cleanliness for valves intended for operation with oxygen.
