Main compressor components

The reliable function of compressor main components is crucial for the smooth operation of the machine. Burckhardt offers the following services for both compressors of its own manufacture and for compressors from other manufacturers (Neumann Esser, ČKD, Nuovo Pignone, Dresser Rand, Ingersol Rand, JSW, etc.):

• Delivery of new parts (pistons, piston rods, crossheads, connecting rods, crankshafts, cylinder liners, cylinders, and others)
• Repair of the above-mentioned parts, including the application of hard-metal layers etc.
• Modernisation, optimisation and modification of parts, taking into account the most up-to-date available materials and the latest knowledge in compressor technology.
• Refurbishment of worn parts
• Delivery and modernisation of bearing installations
• Reverse engineering and replacement of current parts 1:1

Naturally, this includes performing material analyses, a study assessing the condition and remaining service life of compressors, investigating the causes of compressor operational problems, and other engineering services.
