Separators

Liquid-liquid separators

Often referred to as coalescers, they are used for the effective separation of two immiscible liquids, typically oil and water. The principle of their operation is coalescence – the merging of small dispersed droplets of one phase into larger masses, which are subsequently easily separated by the action of gravity.

Liquid-liquid-gas separators

The purpose of a three-phase separator is to separate a mixture of oil–water–gas into its individual components.
a gas-free oil phase with no entrained droplets, an oil phase with no gas entrainment and water droplets, and a water phase with no gas entrainment and oil droplets.

The efficiency of gas/liquid and liquid/liquid separation depends on a number of factors, such as the density of the individual phases, viscosity, etc. Based on knowledge of these factors, various design elements and internal internals are used which increase, accelerate or otherwise improve the efficiency of the separation process.

Sultrade ensures the process design and supply of separators, including internal installations. The design of internal parts includes the construction and technical solution for inlet gas distributors, distribution baffles, foam breakers, mist eliminators, and other internal elements that increase performance.

Separators find application across a wide range of industries:

  • Petrochemicals and refineries
  • Energy
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical industry
  • Mechanical engineering and metal processing
  • treatment of technological and waste water
  • Condensate separation in gas applications
